In an unprecedented move, the Order of Malta has officially instructed members not to cooperate with an investigation ordered by the Holy See.

I wonder if it is time for Francis to begin the laicization process for Cardinal Burke. It appears that the good Cardinal hasn't gotten the message that there is new Sheriff in town.

Of course, one has to wonder what Benedict's role in all this has been.

I presume that most swore allegiance to either St. John Paul the Great, or HH Pope Benedict XVI. Perhaps they remain loyal to them.
