Sorry to bump an old thread, but both the Ottoman Imperial House, as well as the former reigning Royal families of Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Iran, Albania, Iraq, and Yemen are all armigerous.

Among reigning families, in addition to the royal houses already. mentioned, the Royal families of Morocco, Kuwait, Qatar, as well as the individual royal families of the various Emirates of the United Arab Emirates, as well as the royal families of the various Malaysian states that have their own monarch, are all armigerous. Only the King of Saudi Arabia and the Sultan of Oman have 'emblems' that cannot be considered Arms in the true heraldic sense.

And monarchies which were entirely European in flavour had exactly the same sorts of rules for arms for nobility as well as royalty. E.g., Egypt.
