The whole of Steen Clemmensen's website on mediaeval armorials http://www.armorial.dk/ is worth visiting for all the background information he has on different armorials from all over Europe. He updated a lot of it in July. He has prepared several new papers comparing pairs or triplets of armorials, including five on English rolls of arms. He also has a new section on editing armorials.

But the most valuable change is the update to his Ordinary of Medieval Armorials, which is now in version 2.1. This, together with the Dictionary of British Arms, forms the two best sources for mediaeval heraldry and I find it indispensable.

Seconded. What an incredible amount of painstaking and intelligent work.
