Can Bendy be Fimbriated?

Given that bends can be fimbriated and bendy is a series of bends, would it be correct to emblazon something as bendy fimbriated?

As example say I have "bendy of six, azure and gules" but wish to seperate the two colour tinctures with 'fimbriations' of argent, would it be correct to describe this as "bendy of six, azure and gules, fimbriated argent"? Or is there some other terminology which would be more apt?

Cheers.

I don't know. However, one way round might be to make the field Azure with three bars bendy Gules fimbrated Argent.

Thank you for replying Stephen, I had thought of that but if the number six is significant then three bends would be unsuitable as it would create seven major divisions of tincture. I am struggling to find anywhere a solution to this seemingly simple problem.

Any other thoughts?

Anyone?

I can't find an example to make it clear in case that is the problem. The end result would appear something like; bend azure, bendlet argent, bend gules, bendlet argent, bend azure and so on.

I thought for sure I'd have a number of heraldry gurus weighing in on the matter by now, perhaps citing precedents from medieval Leuven or some such place.

Here in Australia I don't have ready access to a great wealth of heraldic knowledge so I'm relying on the learned fellows of this forum to help me out.

Another thought;

Bendy of six azure and argent surmounted of another Gules.

Otherwise your initial suggestion holds good so far.

I bow to those of greater skill & knowledge.
