Does anyone know if the Duke of Windsor had subsidiary titles? I can only find reference to the Dukedom.

The entry in the London Gazette (15 Dec 1936, p 8115) quoting the order
in council granting the dukedom makes no reference to subsidiary titles,
and I'm pretty sure it would if subsidiary titles were granted at the
same time. Possible subsidiary titles were granted at a later date, but
I suspect not.

Thank's Richard, I thought that would be the case. Given the feelings of the time I assume the Dukedom on its own would have been the minimum possible to save face for all involved.

I don't think so.

In Complete Peerage, Vol XIII, pp. 116-7 he was duke of Cornwall and of
Rothesay, earl of Carrick and baron of Renfrew. Later he became Prince
of Wales and earl of Chester. In 1936 when he became king all these
honours were subsumed in the crown. After abdication in 1937 he became
duke of Windsor. He died in 1972.

The killer to any other honours is that in 1952 when he became eldest
son of the sovereign, Charles became duke of Cornwall and of Rothesay,
earl of Carrick and baron of Renfrew and in 1958 he became prince of
Wales and earl of Chester; see CP XIV, 800. So Edward Windsor could not
have continued to hold any of his previous junior titles.

CP has no mention that he was given any other junior titles after 1937.
